The School Day

The School office is open from 8.00am – 3.30pm.

For pupils in Years R,  1 and 2 the doors are open from 8.45am. Lessons start at 8.55am and finish at 3.10pm.   Morning break for Year R, 1 and 2 varies, with lunch time commencing at 11.45am for Year R and 12.00pm for Years 1 and 2.  Lunch break lasts for one hour for each year group in KS1. There is also a short afternoon break.

For pupils in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 the doors are open from 8.35am and finish at 3.05pm.  Lessons start at 8.45am. Morning break is from 10.45am to 11.00am, with lunch break being from 12.00pm to 12.55pm

A typical week for a child in Early Years Foundation Stage (Year R)/KS1 (Year 1 and 2) is approximately 31 hours and 15 minutes. A typical week for a child in KS2 (Year 3-6) is approximately 31 hours and 40 minutes.

Children should not be left unaccompanied in the playground before these times.  All children must be collected promptly at the end of the day.

Staff are always on duty at break times.


In the event of severe weather

In the event of snow we plan to open as usual, but our final decision will be taken based on weather conditions and whether it is considered to be safe for staff and pupils to travel.
