School uniform is important as part of our 'team' approach to school life. We also believe that a smart appearance helps towards a smart attitude. 

      Winter Uniform

• sensible black school shoes or plain, black trainers
• black or grey skirt/trousers/ or black leggings/tracksuit bottoms
• white or red shirt/blouse/polo shirt
• red sweater/sweatshirt - plain design except for school logo
• red or black fleece for outdoor use only
• white/grey socks

      Summer Uniform (when it’s too hot to wear the above)

• red and white dress
• red or black fleece for outdoor use only
• Polo shirt red/white plain, no patterns
• shorts - grey/black

Special School Items

We ask that all children wear sensible shoes or plain black trainers.  High heeled shoes and backless sandals are dangerous in a school environment and should not be worn.  During hot weather, ‘suitable’ closed in footwear or socks with sandals should be worn.

Jewellery can become a problem in many school activities and so we would ask that it be kept to a minimum - only watches and stud earrings. Nose and navel piercings are not safe or appropriate for junior school aged children, and they should not be worn. Make up and nail varnish must not be worn.

Staff accept no responsibility for the safe keeping of watches or jewellery.

PE & Games Kit

PE and Games are compulsory parts of the National Curriculum. All children will take part unless there is a valid medical reason for them not to. PE kit should be worn to school on the designated PE day.

Below is appropriate PE and Games clothing: -

Girls & Boys

Plain white T-shirt (no logos)

Black shorts - conventional style (ie. not cycling/Bermuda shorts)

Black tracksuit trousers/leggings

Black trainers/plimsolls

A plain dark track/jogging suit (not fashion tracksuits) can be worn during the winter months for outdoor games only.

In order to encourage correct foot development, indoor PE is performed in bare feet, although plimsolls may be worn if there are medical problems confirmed by parental note.
