Tanners Brook Primary School is part of the HISP Multi Academy Trust (MAT), which was formed in January 2020. As a MAT, we are a geographically close Trust based in the southern part of Hampshire and Southampton. We aim to ensure that our schools have strong and talented leadership and staff, who in turn will ensure that the young people who are in each of the MAT schools have access to excellent education, support, and wider opportunities. Our three schools cover nursery to 16 and are reinforced by a strong supportive Central MAT team. Additionally, having applied for Teaching School Hub status in December 2020, we were invited in February 2021 to lead two of the 87 Hubs that have been allocated nationally. These will become centres of excellence for teacher and leadership training and development.
Even though Tanners Brook Primary School is situated in an active city area, we are lucky to have a beautiful, large, and green site which nestles in the heart of our community. Our aim is to ensure that our children are given every opportunity to flourish and to exceed expectations. As you would expect, children are at the heart of everything we do at Tanners Brook – we are so proud of every single child who learns and develops with us. We are privileged to be able to shape the lives of our children and to equip them with the values we hold dear; respect for others, self-belief, resilience and aspiration. These values underpin everything we do.
Our vision of every child striving for their personal best means that we are proud to equip our children and staff with the skills, qualities, and values they need to make this happen and to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Tanners Brook Primary School would like to appoint two dedicated classroom teachers to join the current team in September 2021, initially on a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidates will be exceptional teachers, with a passion for their profession, the ability to inspire, to work in partnership with colleagues, parents, and pupils, and to be committed to continually raising the standards of learning and teaching in our Trust. In addition, the importance of being a reflective practitioner, with excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, and being able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the primary curriculum will be key to success in this role. For teachers with an inclusive approach and a commitment to meeting the needs of all groups of learners regardless of aptitude or barriers to learning, this is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly committed, professional, and friendly team.
